It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
It’s been so much fun to have a house of our own to decorate for Christmas! While I went with COLOR for the living room, I wanted to keep the dining room and kitchen more muted and flow with the furnishings already in there. I bought the wreath two years ago (sadly, it’s no longer available) and hung it in our apartment but with tan walls and dim lighting, it looked nowhere near as good as it does here. It’s truly one of my favorite pieces I own. It just makes me so happy.
When I found the copper trees, I knew they’d be a pretty accompaniment to this room. I like a modern, clean twist on traditional holiday decor. The garland tied the trees, rug and pillows in perfectly. I love the way this room turned out.
When it came time to choose wrapping (something I get truly excited about), it had to echo the room and decor. I’ve been a fan of Sugar Paper for years, featuring them often on this site, and I love that it’s now available at Target- score! I like buying lots of different patterns in 2-3 of the same color scheme and mixing and matching them, adding in some boxes and bags and then a ton of different toppers- ribbons, bows, ornaments, letters… anything goes!
